How much a car costs per month
The most affordable model costs $40 per day on the 26–89 day rate — about $1,200 for 30 days. For 90 days or more the price drops to $32 per day, and if you book on the website by Sunday the weekly discount brings it down to $31. You see the total for the whole rental on the car’s page before you send a request.
What the price includes
Comprehensive and third-party insurance, 300 km per day and a second driver at no extra cost. 300 km a day is about 9,000 km a month — enough for daily driving and weekends out of town. The car comes with a full tank.
Long-term rental instead of buying or taxis
If you need a car for a few months, renting spares you the purchase, the insurance and the resale: you pay one daily rate and hand the car back when you no longer need it. Compared with daily taxis across the city it is often cheaper, and the car is always there.
Deposit on long rentals
The deposit is $400–$2,800 depending on the model and is refunded after the rental. On the No deposit plan you leave only a $200–$850 guarantee deposit, but extended insurance from $14 per day is added — on a long rental leaving a deposit usually works out cheaper.
