Driving a rental car abroad from Lviv

The documents we prepare
Before you collect the car we arrange trip insurance, the car’s documents and a power of attorney in your name — all part of the $100 package. You need a passport and a driving licence. Tell us about the trip when you book.
A weekend in Poland from Lviv
Shopping in Rzeszów, a weekend in Kraków or on to the Czech Republic and Germany — from Lviv it is a single day’s drive. A VW Jetta or Toyota Corolla is enough for two, a family will be more comfortable in a Toyota RAV4 or VW Tiguan, and a group of up to nine can take the Peugeot Expert Traveller minivan.
Where you can and cannot go
Allowed: EU countries, Turkey and neighbouring countries such as Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova. Russia and Belarus are not allowed. Agree a multi-country route with the manager in advance.
What it costs
Rental is at the usual prices: from $58 per day for 1–3 days, from $52 for 4–9 days; from $47 with the weekly discount. Plus the $100 travel package. The $400–$2,500 deposit is refunded after the rental, or choose the No deposit plan.

How far is the Polish border from Lviv?
Krakovets is about 70 kilometres away, Shehyni about 80 and Rava-Ruska about 65. The time at the border itself depends on the queue.
Can I drive from Lviv to Kraków in a rental car?
Yes, with the $100 travel package. Kraków is about 330 kilometres from Lviv.
What do I need besides the travel package?
A passport and a driving licence. The usual age and experience rules apply: at least 21 and 2 years of driving.
